Random Bible Verse 1

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”

Christians are called to live for God and cast aside worldly things.  Worldly things don’t matter to God, and no worldly possessions or concerns will make it to heaven.

Gods doesn’t want us to go chasing worldly things or worldly matters.  However, he does understand that we do have some worldly needs and will provide them for us,

It can be hard to hear God through the noise of this world, but we must take time to shut out the world and listen to him.  God is always trying to tell us things through the things we encounter during our day, we just have to keep our eye out for them.

Christians and Temptation

All Christians get tempted at some point or another.  Men and women tend to get tempted by different things but we are all human and none of us can escape temptation.  It is wrong to continue falling into the same temptations or make excesses for sins, and when we give into temptation or sin we must ask for Gods strength and forgiveness.  It’s important to ask for Gods strength as soon as possible or sin can end up having a bad snowball effect.

We need to avoid sins and tempting situations as much as we can, but we can’t completely close our eyes to these things either.  We need to know what’s out there and ask God for his protection.  We must also forgive others when they sin against us.  If we don’t forgive others, God will not forgive us.   As Christians we also can’t look down on others for sinning because it’s something every single person does.  Christians are not perfect and they make mistakes like anybody else.  We also can’t judge others for their sins because only God has that right.

It can be easy to feel bad and guilty when we sin, but we shouldn’t let those feelings get the best of us.  We shouldn’t feel that we’re not worthy of forgiveness either.  God is a forgiving God, you just have to ask for it.  None of us truly deserve forgiveness but it’s a gift that God has given us out of love.  Remember, even Jesus was tempted when we lived in our world.

Waiting for Mr. or Mrs. Right

Many Christians want to have a godly wife or husband.  A lot of time Christians keep praying for a spouse to no avail.  While they’re waiting these Christians will continue to complain about being single.  In order to receive a mate, you have to be patient and not complain.  It can be hard but we need to have the right attitude in order to be ready for marriage.  After all, nobody wants to marry a person who is always bitter and complaining.

While a Christian is waiting on his or her mate he or she needs to spend time with God and develop a better relationship with him.  It’s important to know what Gods plans are for your future before deciding to settle down.  It’s also important to work on improving yourself and becoming a better person.  If you want to have a terrific spouse, you have to be someone who can be a terrific spouse as well.

While you’re waiting on your future mate, just be content and happy with Gods will.  Be happy with the work that God has given you and do it happily.  Who knows, maybe you’ll even get lucky and meet your special someone while you’re out there serving him.   Be content in serving the Lord who wants to love you and provide for you.  Even if a mate never shows up, it doesn’t matter at all.  What matters is that you’re going to heaven when the time is right.

Have faith and trust in Gods timing.  God will bring you your mate when the time is right.  Enjoy being single while you can and utilize the time to strengthen your relationship with God.  You probably won’t have as much time to spend working on your relationship with him after you get married   Enjoy being single and having all your time to yourself while you can.  Being single does have its good parts too so just enjoy them.

Christians and Waiting

It can be very hard to wait for things.  However, there are going to be times when God makes us wait.  Sometimes God makes people wait a long time.  It’s not easy when that happens, but God gets those people through it.  I happen to be one of those people.  I’m still waiting for good things to happen in my life, and I know that they’re going to happen soon.  I’m often told that I have an incredible amount of patience.  When God makes a person wait a long time he really makes sure that they’re equipped!

I don’t know when good things are going to happen to me or what’s going to happen to me, but I know that things are going to come my way which will be better then anything I can imagine.  Things have been slowly getting better for me over the last few months, and I know that they’re only going to keep on getting better.  God has a special will for me here on earth and I can’t wait to fulfill it!

If you’re someone like me who is a waiting phase, stay patience and keep praying for God to give you more patience.  While you’re waiting on him spend some time with him and get to know him better.  If you know someone who happens to be in a waiting phase, give them all the support and encouragement for them.  Pray for them and also don’t forget to pray with them.
